A Speculative neuro design research project for my design honours program. (2023)
This research project investigates how the intensive sensory stimuli of urban environments affects the cognitive and physiological wellness of neurodiverse people. Formulated as a hybrid digital and analogue handheld device, the Reaction tool interprets sensorial activity in the spatial environment through a visual display that communicates the probability of sensory overload. By examining tools as products alongside urbanisation and sensory data helped frame the research, viewing tools as artefacts for physicalising experiences.
In(visible) Degeneration - 2022 A&D Grad show
Using creative computer coding programs such as TouchDesigner and motion or sound sensors, we can conceptualise what our brain or sub-conscious looks like as we navigate over-stimulating public spaces. What forms, symbols or patterns form when we merge sensors and the surrounding space?
Visualising this sound stimulation while based off neuro-scientific studies on what causes of stress and what those imaging scans look like. We can mitigate positive responses, by reversing how the elements respond to sound, this allows the implementation of the design into spaces to first analyse and then respond to the analysis of the existing spatial variables, combatting any negative over stimulation with instead the mirrored effect. the lens of a computers coded sensory components...  Using touch designer as a connecting component to send the design of illumination, created based on the Gestalt variables in Neuro-architectural studies and relative design principles.

Experience Design project reflecting the work of Manfred Mohr
Powerhouse Museum Parramatta presents 'Tesseract'. Engage with our increasingly mechanised world - This interactive experience curates the room around you, the gallery performs and explores new forms of life while protecting the rapidly evolving human state.
